【Regarding price revisions for various guided tours】
While we have strived to maintain the same prices for scheduled foreign language guides and premium audio guides, we regret to inform you that we have decided to revise our current prices.
As a result, we will be revising our prices as follows. We appreciate your understanding.

◆Himeji Castle English guided tour (effective March 1, 2026)
・Adult (19 years old or older) Before: ¥1,000 ⇒ After: ¥1,500
・Students (13 to 18 years old) Before: ¥500 ⇒ After: ¥1,000
・Children (12 years old or younger)—Free * Free for up to 2 children per 1 adult

◆Premium Audio Guides (effective March 1, 2026)
Before: ¥600 ⇒ After: ¥1,000

*For both the regular foreign language guided tours and premium audio guides, the guide fee does not include the cost of the ticket.
Please purchase a ticket separately and present it upon entry.

【Modification des tarifs d'entrée au château de Himeji】
Tarifs d'entrée (à compter du 1er mars 2026)
• Adulte (18 ans et plus)— 2500 yens
• Habitant de Himeji— 1000 yens
• Groupes de 30 personnes ou plus (adultes)— 2000 yens
• Groupes de 30 personnes ou plus (habitants de Himeji)— 800 yens
• Billet combiné Château de Himeji et Jardin Kokoen— 2600 yens
• Abonnement annuel au château de Himeji— 5000 yens

*L'entrée est gratuite pour les moins de 18 ans (y compris ceux dont le premier 31 mars depuis leur 18e anniversaire n'est pas encore arrivé).
*Le billet annuel pour le château de Himeji permet à une même personne de visiter le château de Himeji un nombre illimité de fois pendant un an à compter de la date d'achat.

Parallèlement, les initiatives suivantes seront mises en œuvre à compter du 1er mars 2026
- Déploiement généralisé des billets numériques
- Distribution de sacs bandoulière originaux du château de Himeji
- Les animaux de compagnie ne sont pas admis dans la zone payante (pour garantir la sécurité des visiteurs à l'intérieur du château).

【Notes on Visiting Himeji Castle】

◆Please bring a shoe bag.
Please bring thick socks or comfortable indoor shoes.
The inside of the buildings (Main Keep etc.) is a wooden floor.
Because it is slippery and dangerous, also there is a risk of damaging cultural properties with heels of shoes, please do not use the provided shoe bags as shoe covers.

No outdoor shoes are allowed inside the buildings (Main keep. etc.).
Please put in a plastic bag (containing, plant-derived materials) that you will be given at the entrance of the building.
Please bring your own bag (shoe bag) to protect the environment.


◆There are many steep slopes, stairs, and gaps.
Himeji Castle has many slopes and stairs.
It’s like climbing a small mountain to get to the main keep.
Please wear comfortable clothing.
For safety, wheelchair users must be accompanied by about three experienced caregivers.
There are no elevators in the castle tower or turrets.
Although there are handrails, the stairs are very steep and narrow.
Please note that wheelchairs are not accessible inside buildings such as the main keep and turrets.

【About night illumination】
Himeji Castle is lit up in white, which makes the white plaster stand out the most,
from sunset until midnight.
In addition, special seasonal performances are held for 15 minutes each day from 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

[Awareness color light up]
As part of various awareness-raising activities, Himeji Castle lights up its castle towers in symbolic colors.
